In April 2017, Newberry Architecture Principal Gina Brown received a prestigious Leader in Design award from the Houston Design Center (HDC). The award is given only to the city’s most talented and accomplished architects and interior designers.
HDC selected Brown as a Leader in Design for her work that not only brings out the beauty of architecture but also focuses on the functionality that makes Newberry a top choice for clients seeking to remodel their existing home or business or build new.
Gina joined Newberry in 2006, completing more than 100 design projects that have been featured in publications such as Segreto Vignettes, Luxe Magazine, and Architectural Digest. Newberry, a luxury architecture firm, works with clients in the Houston area and across the U.S.
“Gina added a new perspective to the firm when she joined us,” said Ken Newberry, founder of Newberry Architecture. “Her ability to give every detail of a home the attention it deserves is part of what makes Newberry’s designs special to our clients.”
Gina is also known for her team-driven solutions blending all aspects of design, including interiors, architecture, and landscape. This skill has given her a reputation—rare among architects—for providing a seamless, enjoyable, design-build process for clients.
HDC’s Leader in Design award recipients are chosen by a peer group consisting of the most sought-after designers in Texas.
“Our partners at the Houston Design Center understand that our firm roots itself in highly detailed and intentional architecture; they help us pull together those details,” Brown said. “The Houston Design Center’s showrooms offer us an incredible array of choices and partnerships that give our designs the touches that make them sing.”
Gina balances a passion for her work with her family of five. She also served as the co-founder and president of the Marshall Brown Foundation, a nonprofit providing assistance to families suffering the loss of a child, and she continues to be an advocate for success in foster care and adoption.
